Prom 2012 Trend Alert!!
Hello Glammers! (PS. that's my new nickname for my readers, let me know what you think! :))
Prom season is slowly creeping up on us and I know many girls are very anxious to go prom shopping and snag that unique gorgeous gown! But what's "in" you might ask? Worry not, I have compiled a list of the top Prom 2012 trends I am seeing right now from my favorite designers.
Here's what you can look forward to this season.
1. COLOR!!
This season bright bold colors are playing a huge role in gown designs. Brights greens, purples, yellows and blues seem to be very popular.
2. Prints
I am seeing a lot of dresses featuring printed fabrics in flowery designs and also animal prints mixed with bold colors
3. Short Ballerina style gowns
Short gowns are definitely in this year, especially ballerina style dresses perhaps an influence from The Black Swan?
4. Party in the front, elegant in the back
Can's decide if you want a short or long dress? Fear not! This season features a lot of dresses that are cut short in the front with a longer fuller skirt in the back...sort of like a dress mullet
5. Sweetheart Neckline
Most of this season's gowns are sporting the figure flattering sweetheart neck line. I find it suits most people so thumbs up from me :)
6. One shoulder Gowns
Who needs two pesky straps falling down? This year's styles offer many strapless and one shoulder variations.
7. Cutouts
Strategically placed cutout sections are appearing more and more this year with a lot of top designers carrying on this trend.
8. Sleek and Sexy Silhouettes
The days of huge poofy ball gowns are fading away and sleeker, more form flaunting styles are taking over.
So there you have it, the top 8 trends for 2012 prom season. As always I leave you with my favorite gowns this season, showing off these trends of course.
Feast your eyes and Enjoy!!!!!
